I’ve been working in the web design and development industry since Netscape was cool. My accomplishments have included complex database programming, innovative scripting for big ecommerce sites, managing Wordpress, as well as design work for private-portal and public-facing web sites and promotional elements.
I live in Venice and, when I'm not coding or designing, I love Florida's outdoor lifestyle.
Breadth and depth of skills and experience makes all the difference.

Wordpress photo-gallery site to feature local artist’s work and allow downloads
The goals for the site were to 1) allow the photographer to bulk upload photos via FTP, 2) allow galleries to be created with automation to speed up deployment, 3) have the site be very-fast because it’s already media-heavy, and 4) keep it all simple, on both sides. The back-end includes Wordpress, a second hard-drive for mass-storage that’s mounted within the site file structure (for seamless operation), Cloudflare for caching, and custom PHP configurations for RAM and execution time. The site gets very high marks for performance from Google’s Lighthouse.

HTML5 site created to be hyper-fast, SEO and mobile optimized for Tele-Name Communications of Sarasota, Florida
The site provides the visitor with two quick and easy methods for finding vanity numbers related to their business industry or keywords. A back-end system that manages thousands of vanity numbers was developed and integrated with this front-end site. The back-end is also utilized on a dozen satellite sites, the queries and data fitting a variety of roles. The work also included web hosting configuration and legacy data/systems integration.

Responsive HTML5 client data portal for American Office Products Distributors
I developed an online system that can routinely import CSV data and provide business-specific reporting (tables, graphical charts, PDFs) for the client’s suppliers. The work included the creation of more than 20 stored SQL procedures/programs, the use of temporary tables, and MySQL fine tuning to speed performance for live-use on an active site. The site is the culmination of client-side and server-side technologies working together seamlessly – bash scripts, crons, jQuery, PHP, TCPDF, and MySQL.

API integration with local database
The purpose of the project was to upload customer-specific product aliases (SKUs) into a new ecommerce system from the client’s in-house database on an ongoing basis. My work included the installation of PHP on a local Windows server, development of Access temporary tables, and the PHP/API integration code. The code runs via a scheduled process, downloads customer IDs via the API, stores them in a local database, and the recursively inserts the customer-specific skus with the acquired customer ID into the ecommerce system via the API, subsequently providing a report on the status of each alias.

Built to support existing database, integrate new data, and reside over a legacy ecommerce system for Frid and Russell of Ontario
The most notable benefit of my work is the integration of over 100,000 SKUs and associated product data from Etilize with the client’s existing Access product data from a variety of vendors. The process receives millions of SKUs from Etilize, filters the data, and imports it into MySQL, which also imports product data from the local, legacy Access database, hybridizing the data into rapidly search-able tables. All of this operates over a legacy ecommerce system.
